The "STUPID!" epithet implies it should be obvious, but it's really stupid to miss the fact that "IT" is many things, their inter-connections, and the faulty ways we think about them. Intelligence and stupidity are sometimes obvious in the moment. More often, especially at speed and scale, they are indistinguishable. But they are always obvious in 20 / 20 hindsight. Paradigm Shifts are revolutions in thinking. They always seem stupid at first. Radical intelligence remains invisible until the assumptions and expectations that resist it, and the mindsets and world views that exclude it get adjusted, often from external pressure. The shift is complete when the previously stupid is seen as smart and the invisible becomes obvious. If you don't think we're being stupid, at a grand and dangerous scale, you're not smart enough for these arguments.
